The Brick Issue was released May 2, 2009.  The issue features a conglomeration of poetry, artwork, stories, lyrics, and a review of the Brick Coffee House Store located on D Street.  Much of the issue was inspired by the album "The Wall," a poem based on titles of songs from "The Wall" album was contributed by staff member Anthony Martinez.  The issue featured a profound collection of poems including multiple pages of Haiku by myself and my brother Ben Currier.  Cover design was by Amanda Martinez.  The issue displays work by workshop contributors who were Joe Burdick, Mark Bower, and Colin Ransom.  The Brick issue is yet another magnificent achievement of Intrepid Press.  To find where you can pick up a copy of Intrepid Press go to "where-can-i-pick-up-a-copy-of-the-zine" or if you would like to subscribe to Intrepid Press, you can do so by going to our fund-raisers page.

I just read "The Brick Issue." I loved it. The poetry, especially the haiku that you publish in your zine is very beautiful. I always look forward to the next issue. :-)

The "bricks in the wall," as we see them, don't seem to be holding you back. The balance of emotion and intellect is well articulated in the "The Brick Issue." The floydian gods would be proud (as would the D Street gods).
